Put your brand behind a habit, not an ad
Sponsor a branded savings challenge on Tija Kids. Your brand funds the prizes. Kenyan children spend weeks actually saving toward a goal — and you get the numbers to prove it.
Sponsorship, not advertising
Tija carries no ad SDKs and does no behavioural targeting of children — by policy, not by omission. A sponsorship is a named, disclosed association with a savings challenge. That is the whole product, and it is why parents trust it.
Weeks of engagement, not an impression
A savings challenge runs for months. Your brand sits alongside a child's own goal, their weekly streak and their progress — repeated, voluntary, positive contact.
Reportable impact
Enrollments, active savers, completion rate, total saved, weekly streaks — delivered as a clean aggregate report you can put straight into a CSR or marketing review.
Clean by design
Every sponsored surface is labelled. No child data leaves Tija. Nothing about the sponsorship touches a child's tasks, rewards or wallet.
How a sponsored challenge works
Families pay nothing. You are invoiced once. Everything else is running infrastructure we already operate.
We build your challenge
Name, savings goal, duration and prize structure — carrying your logo, brand colour and a disclosure line ("This challenge is sponsored by …").
Families enroll
From the public challenge page (double opt-in email) or straight inside the app. A parent picks which child takes part; a savings goal is created and tracked.
Children save, week after week
Kids earn through chores and good habits, save toward the challenge goal, keep weekly streaks and appear on a first-names-only public leaderboard.
Prizes are awarded and delivered
Winners are ranked automatically from what they actually saved. Parents confirm delivery details in-app; we handle fulfilment and report back.
You get the report
An aggregate impact report at close (and on request mid-flight), ready for a CSR review, a regulator, or a board pack.
Where your brand appears
- The challenge card on tija.kids/savings-challenge
- The enrollment screen a parent completes
- The in-app challenge card and join flow
- The public leaderboard for that challenge
- Prize moments — winner notifications name the prize you funded
Where it never appears: a child's home screen, task list, rewards or wallet. Those surfaces stay brand-free.
Optional: in-store activation
Already running: a QR scanner programme that awards children points at physical locations. A sponsor can add "scan at our branches" to a challenge and see scans, unique children and a top-performing-location breakdown.
Your impact report
What you will never receive
Child names, ages, photos, emails, phone numbers, household records, or any individual row of data. Sponsors get no dashboard login and no database access. This is not a negotiable tier — it is how the system is built.
Who sponsors a savings challenge
Banks & SACCOs
Reach the families whose children will open their first account in a few years — while demonstrably teaching them to save first.
CSR & foundations
A financial-literacy programme that produces real behavioural data, not attendance sheets — and a report you can publish.
Insurers
Long-horizon thinking is the product. A savings challenge is the most natural place a family will meet your brand.
NGOs & grant programmes
Run a financial-capability intervention on infrastructure that already exists, with measurement built in from day one.
Sponsor questions, answered
Do you share any data about children?
No. Sponsors receive cohort aggregates only — counts, averages and rates. No names, emails, household records or individual rows, and no dashboard access. The public leaderboard shows first names only.
How is the sponsorship disclosed?
Every surface that shows the challenge also shows your name, logo and a plain-language disclosure line. Families are told you fund the prizes and that we share nothing about them with you. Disclosure is mandatory — a sponsored challenge cannot be published without it.
What do families pay?
Nothing. The Tija Kids app is free, and a sponsored challenge is free to join. There is no payment step anywhere in the family experience.
How do we pay, and how are we invoiced?
By bank transfer or M-Pesa against a KRA eTIMS invoice. Nothing moves through the app; the sponsorship is a straightforward B2B invoice.
How long from agreement to launch?
Typically two to three weeks: brand assets and disclosure copy, prize structure, challenge build and QA, then launch to families.
Can we target specific children or households?
No. There is no behavioural targeting of children on Tija and we will not build it. A challenge is offered to everyone; families choose to join.
