Diamond Plaza II

The top floors of Diamond Plaza II in Parklands hold one of Nairobi's largest indoor play arenas: trampolines, a jungle gym, climbing nets, bumper cars, bouncy castles, arcade games and a skating rink, all with the city skyline behind them. Badminton courts a couple of floors up suit older kids and parents who fancy a game. A big food court downstairs handles lunch.

How a family visit works

1. 1Park on 4th Parklands Avenue — street and basement both fill on weekends — and take the lifts to the top-floor play arena. Do not start at the food court or you will never go up.
2. 2Ask at the counter exactly what one ticket covers. It usually includes most of the play: trampolines, jungle gym, climbing nets, bumper cars, bouncy castles, arcade and the skating rink. Confirm extras before the kids hear the word 'bumper cars'.
3. 3If an older sibling is bored of bouncing, the badminton courts are a couple of floors off the arena — a different energy, same building.
4. 4Food court is downstairs. Bathroom stop before you go up; the lifts get slow when the arena is busy.

Yes, a climbing gym on another floor of Diamond Plaza, but it is a separate venue with its own hours (it has been closed Sundays). Do not assume a play-arena ticket includes climbing. Open daily for the arena — still confirm last entry upstairs.
