Diani is regularly rated among Africa's best beaches: a long stretch of powder-white sand and warm, calm, reef-protected shallows ideal for young swimmers. Families can paddle, build sandcastles, snorkel the reef or try glass-bottom boat trips, with plenty of casual beachfront eateries. The gentle water and soft sand make it especially good for little ones.
Good to know: The reef keeps the water calm — still, swim at low tide with younger kids and mind the sun.
