Fourteen Falls

Athi River, Thika Open daily

Fourteen Falls is a broad, dramatic set of waterfalls where the Athi River drops about 27 metres in a run of separate cascades — hence the name. Viewing rocks and paths look straight onto the falls, local guides run boat rides to the base, and daredevil divers sometimes perform for visitors. It pairs naturally with Ol Donyo Sabuk next door for a full day out of the city.

Good to know: Don't swim or let children near the edge — the rocks are slippery and the river is polluted. Agree guide and boat prices before you set off.
