Lake Nakuru is famous for the flamingos that gather on its shores and for being one of Kenya's best places to see both black and white rhino. A game drive also turns up buffalo, giraffes, baboons and, with luck, the park's tree-climbing lions, all around a scenic soda lake. The viewpoints over the lake are spectacular for families.
Good to know: Bring binoculars — the flamingos and rhinos are often best viewed from a distance.
